1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Answering this question is difficult just because I want to tell you something about myself instead of about my photography. My friends know this, but I guess something not too many people *believe* about me is that I am actually a pretty introverted person. I think most people are lead to believe I am more outgoing than I am because I do photoshoots with a lot of models I am not incredibly close with, or even in some cases that I have not met before the shoot whatsoever, and I am able to have conversations about all sorts of things with them (sounds like an oxymoron- I know). Although I’ve become more comfortable over time since I shoot so much, I honestly still get nervous when I go on shoots with new clients, and tend to have some things to talk about in mind before I arrive to the photoshoot!
2. What are your biggest passions?
Photography is definitely up there. Besides that I love to write prose and poetry, draw, keep in touch with my faith, dance, sprint track, and adventure! I’m always up for a good adventure (that’s one of the reasons I enjoy photography so much, every shoot is a new one!) Most of my passions revolve around creativity- I am definitely a more right-brained person.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My personal goal is to just be content with wherever I may end up. I want to be able to accept where and who I am in the future. I struggle a lot with acceptance so I think coming to terms with that is my ultimate aim. As for my photography, I hope to shoot more editorial work, maybe for magazines? I think that’d be so fun.
4. What is your definition of success?
Success is being okay with wherever you are at in your journey. I believe that for me, personally, I will become successful once I learn to become open-minded through my journey in faith. I think that’s why I also mentioned that as my goal for the future; I figure that if I am content in my place, I have succeeded, no matter where that may be.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
Some things I am super excited about are my Disney inspired photo shoots! I have a few being planned right now, and am collecting elaborate and crazy costumes and dresses right now- I am so pumped about it! I love seeing my favorite movies and characters come to life through my camera lens. I’m also heading down to Los Angeles next week, so hopefully I’ll do some cool photo shoots there, since I’ve wanted to for a while now!
