1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Something many people don’t know about me is that I have actually struggled with anxiety attacks for a while and they have actually had a significant impact on my life. I didn’t tell anyone for a while and that was a huge mistake. Now, I always recommend seeking help and talking to people about it. If anyone else is facing this issue, just remember that you’re not in this alone.
2. What are your biggest passions?
Creating has always been one of my greatest passions. I started out as a filmmaker. I loved to edit and I wanted to make some short videos, so I got my first camera. I didn’t use it very often at first because I just couldn’t find any inspiration. But, eventually, I found an account on Instagram that triggered something in my brain and made me want to create again. Only, it wasn’t filmmaking. In September 2017, I got into digital art and Photoshop compositing and I spent several months pursuing that. However, in January 2018, I realized that it just wasn’t what I wanted to do. During those months, I became somewhat of an expert at Photoshop and started to practice retouching portraits. After spending several hours learning to how to do that, I realized that portrait photography was my true passion. It just took me a while to get there.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My biggest goal is to, one day, become a full time photographer and be able to support myself off of what I love. Along this path, I have set some smaller goals that allow me to track my progress. With each shoot I do, I try to use my past knowledge to top the pictures from my last shoot so that I am always growing and getting better as a content creator and photographer.
4. What is your definition of success?
I would say success is being happy. You don’t need extravagant amounts of money or material objects. Having financial stability, being around people you love, and being able to support yourself is what I would consider success.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
I have recently decided to make some changes to my photography and editing style, so, in the coming weeks, my photos could begin to gravitate towards a different mood and feel, but you’ll just have to wait and see.
