1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Due to my love for both astronomy and history, a lot of the tattoos that I have are actually direct correlations of the constellation Orion The Hunter. Sailors once relied on Orion's Belt to locate the northern star, so they could semi-accurately navigate the seas. I have a compass tattoo on my right arm, which is surrounded by roses, two of which are blue and purple, representing galaxies and nebulas in space, and another colored in green and blue, representing Earth and how we used to use the sky for navigation.
2. What are your biggest passions?
My passions are copious; Music, skateboarding, photographic art, videogames, even animals. All have played very important parts in my life; I used to be a drummer, my love for skateboarding caused me to lose my sense of smell when I was 13, my photos are a direct reflection of how I personally visuallize the world, I picked up my frist Nintendo 64 controller when I was about 3, beat The Legend Of Zelda and haven't stopped gaming since, and I'm vegan, so animals are family haha.
Passion should, very much so, be my middle name.
3. What are your goals for the future?
Goals are only something that one hopes to reach. I have plans.
I'm going to be moving up to Oregon in about a year and I'm really hyped for that adventure. I'll be working on a whole new level of scenic portraiture when I'm there, so the new faces I have yet to meet are one of the many things I'm constantly amped up about.
4. What is your definition of success?
It's very apparent that everyone has a deifferent definition for what success is, but my personal view of success has to do with my past self and where I thought I would be at this point in my life. Have I lived up to my own expectations? Very much so.
Success has a lot to do with surprising myself with my accomplishments to the point where I have to take a step back, inhale deep, and just be like "Wow, did I really just make that happen?"
Basically, success is a word of past tense, meaning that only after I finish something can I truly state whether or not it was a success. I have no reason to be aiming for "success" in my future. Just aiming to be happy with whatever I choose to do.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on
I'm always working on some form of a project honestly. Right now, I'm trying to fully design my next few tattoos, one of which will be a character from this japanese anime movie Spirited Away. A project I'm pretty jazzed about is going to take a while to complete, but it'll be an entire portfolio of self portraits shot in various locations around the world, with in depth stories about my travels to make each picture happen. It's for my future self to look back on and reminisce. I've been spending a lot of time wishing I had more evidence about my years as a soccer player, or that I still had a drum set. I just want some proof of my existence out there.
