1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Something that not too many people know about me is that I was raised Catholic and I attended Catholic church by choice until I decided that I wanted to study Judaism and went to Israel. While there, I realized I wanted to study Islam so basically, I was a religion hopper during my teens. That's how I became spiritual.
2. What are your biggest passions?
My biggest passion is being of service in ways. Either through my art, through facilitating healing workshop, offering up different healing modalities or just generally working with young people and older people that are interested in and invested in self care, self-love and being a creator.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future are to continue creating but to also look at myself in different ways. For example, not only seeing myself as a performer but also seeing myself as a director and as a producer, as someone who is active both in front and behind the camera as as an artist. I also have a goal to own land and be able to really live a self-sustaining life where I have access to food and water and shelter all on my own land. I really am committed to being self-sufficient and being able to be self sustainable.
4. What is your definition of success?
My definition of success is getting up every day and truly being happy with not only the decision you made to get up but the decision that you made to go on and for me a lot of that has to do with what your routines are and with what the objective of the journey is for you. I think that success is about producing because when you aren't producing then you feel unsuccessful and that shit sucks. Success for me isn't measured by what others see, but rather about how I feel.
5. Tell us something about the projects you’re working on.
In terms of projects that I’m working on, I’ll just say that I am in the process of writing A feature-length film thats a surreal coming of age narrative. In general, just continuing to create content that centers on black queer women.
