1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Watching Anime is my number one form of self-care accompanied by Talenti gelato.
2. What are your biggest passions?
My earliest passions were the art of sound. I'm a child of Hip-Hop and so much of who and how I am has been informed by the culture.
I love music, performing and being an artist. I'm passionate about storytelling and using imagery to convey emotion and feeling. But most recently, over the last 5 years I found passion in youth work. Working with young people to help them find their own voice, through the arts.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My current goals (because like dreams, goals can change) for the future consist of working towards having my photography included in an exhibit, being invited to speak on panels across college campuses to talk with students about passion and trusting in their art enough to take them where they want to go, and getting my Masters degree!
4. What is your definition of success?
I define success as contributing to the net value of the culture through my art and being respected as a practitioner in my fields(s) by my peers and mentors. to quote Common, "I'd be lying if I said I didn't want millions, More than money saved, I want to save children"
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
I'm working on an album right now, Season 2 of my podcast "For Those Who Know" and a photo-docu series about transplants finding home.
