1. What is something not too many people know about you?
While I’m trying to be more open about my faith, not too many people know how important it is to me. Through all the trials and triumphs, my faith in God and His love has been the one constant thing that has given me strength and confidence to continue forward. As I’ve grown up, I am continuously amazed by the miracles of God that are all around us. Being a Christian artist in today’s world is not an easy feat to accomplish, however it is something that I strive for every day. I am constantly asking myself how I can use my art and my talents to spread God’s message to those willing to hear it.
2. What are your biggest passions?
I am an extremely passionate person with a lot of things that I invest in wholeheartedly (i.e. the environment, theatre and film, arts education, coffee, etc.) but at the end of the day the thing that I am most passionate about is people. I love how different every single human being is and I also love how similar we all are. Nothing brings me more joy than being surrounded by people, sharing ideas and dreams with one another. It is so beautiful to think about how much can be done when a community works together.
3. What are your goals for the future?
I hope to use film and theatre to tell stories that we aren’t used to hearing all the time. I think there are so many stories to still be explored from perspectives that are not being heard. I also hope that I can be an example that Christianity and Artistry do not have to be separate, but instead they can work together to create something that can touch lives in extraordinary ways.
4. What is your definition of success?
A person can be successful in many different ways. I think a good definition of success requires balance between what you are giving to the world and what you are receiving. You cannot constantly put out content without engaging in the world around you and you also cannot ingest everything without giving anything back. Everything works together.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
Right now I am a part of a devised show with the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music’s Acting department called “H2O: A Play About Water.” We are taking this show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August, and I am really excited about it. I also am the Managing Producer of the production company, Pajama Island Productions, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0_j3poVDN-gF8BRgQthWiQ. We are currently in post production for a couple projects that will be released this summer. Once those are done, I will begin work on a play that I am going to be directing! Lots of things are happening, and my heart gets happier with every project I work on.
