1. What is something not too many people know about you?
I am really goofy, somewhat nerdy, and I love baking. I love brownies more than any human should.
2. What are your biggest passions?
Doing things that are good for the body! I am extremely passionate about health and beauty. There are so many pollutants and toxins in the world, so the least we can do is feed our body important nutrients and use ethically produced, natural products and foods.
I also think it is important to do what you love for a living. We work over half of our lifetime so why not do something you enjoy every day? We are all unique and beautiful in our own right, with wonderful things to contribute to the world. The world is always looking for heroes, so why can't it be you?
3. What are your goals for the future?
I wasn't planning on being a model, but I was discovered while going to church on a Sunday morning in college. I had on a Patagonia fuzzy pullover, no make-up, and my hair was in a messy braid -- Not something most would wear to church, believe me. A photographer approached me and said, "You would be perfect for the shoot I am doing later this week." He happened to be the photographer for Vera Bradley, the American luggage and handbag design company, so I was in all of the e-Comm ads and emails for the year. One thing happened after another, and here I am modeling full-time for my livelihood.
My goals for the future are to be a spokesmodel for a company I truly believe in, model for fitness and swimwear companies, land a lead role in a movie, be on the cover of a health magazine, and most of all, be a leading influencer in the health, beauty, and fashion industry. I want to continue on a path as a model people can relate with because I think oftentimes, women in this industry convey a level of unattainability, whether that be through their status, looks, or personality. Being approachable speaks volumes.
4. What is your definition of success?
If I am able to influence and change the perspective of even one person, that is success to me. Being in the entertainment industry is not an easy road, but I feel my calling is to be a light in an industry that isn't always positive. Success is having an impact on each person you meet along the way of your journey.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
It has been a busy year so far, and I'm super excited about my current projects!
I recently partnered as a brand ambassador for the start-up company Rentgrata. It's the future in apartment hunting. You can check out what Rentgrata is here in the first video we launched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTg9u140e1Q
