1. What is something not too many people know about you?
My dad was in the military so I’m a military brat. Fortunately we were able to be stationed overseas for a good portion of my childhood. We moved to Japan and Germany where we had many opportunities to travel within the countries we lived in and the surrounding ones as well. With that came my growing love for traveling, exploring and learning about the world around me. Often times my family would take weekend trips to see a castle or a cathedral, maybe visit an old village. Learning about the history of every place was something I cherished.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
If you know me then you know that I love sweets. I have a major sweet tooth which has made me love baking. It’s especially fun when I’m trying to veganize some of my favorite desserts. When I was younger I always resorted to baking as a stress reliever or as my break in between homework so I would definitely love to open up a vegan food truck or restaurant someday.
3. What are your goals for the future?
I definitely want to be able to support myself and travel for as long as I can and with what I can afford. I would really love to help and work with brands and people who strive for things that I believe in and help curate and share their stories. Ultimately I’d be my own boss, while travelling and helping others around the world.
Another goal of mine is to actually not be too attached to my hair. As much as I’ve come to love it’s natural tangled state, I feel like I hold too much emphasis on it at times, and I feel almost dependent on it. So sometimes I get the urge to cut it all off so that I can learn to love myself in my purest form and grow from that, so that’s definitely a goal for the future.
4. What is your definition of success?
Success to me is accomplishing something in your life that betters you as a person. It’s overcoming that obstacle that’s been in your way and achieving what you want. Though, I feel like the definition of success really moves with you throughout your life. It can change in different stages of your life in those moments of time. So really to me it’s something that grows and evolves as you grow older, and saying all this doesn’t diminish how important and meaningful each of your successes are. I think these little victories are what keep driving and pushing us forward.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on
At the moment I’m in school, so I’m looking forward to getting my degree and using it to better the world around me. While in school I’ve been doing some modeling which has definitely helped with self confidence, so I would love to keep working with other creatives to come up with something really cool. I would also love to work on something bigger than myself that brings people together, over good vegan food to uplift and support each other, while discussing important environmental issues that are very prevalent.
