1. What is something not too many people know about you?
When people see me, they see a girl with a tiny frame. When people hear me, they hear a girl with a cute accent. That is me. My name is Shannon, and I am a five-foot-one Chinese girl. But not too many people know that I have a big dream, and I won't stop until I reach that goal. I know I am my biggest enemy, so I compete with myself every day. From the bottom of my heart, I know I can achieve something significant. So I continue to be creative and make better work.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
Growing up, I had quite a few hobbies that I loved. I was sent to an art school when I was little. Then I became a full-time art student when I studied as an undergraduate in Beijing, China. But I am not only limited to painting and drawing. Because of my outgoing, outspoken personality, I chose to study Multimedia Communications at grad school in San Francisco. So my biggest passion is standing in front of cameras, under spotlights. One day, I will have my TV/Network show.
3. What are your goals for the future?
When I was in grad school, I was actively hosting shows. After my graduation, I was a news reporter at a Chinese online TV station. There I got chances to interview California governor Jerry Brown and other San Francisco mayors. I want to have my talk show, and I also want to build my own cosmetic company.
4. What is your definition of success?
Success has multiple meanings to me. Generally, having a wealthy and comfortable life in the future can be called success. But also my measure of success is to be a great mom, a sweet wife, and a good daughter who takes care of her family.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
I have been a full-time beauty guru (video creator) for half a year. My YouTube channel is called Shannonize. I love what I do because I am very good at it. I make two makeup tutorials every week. That is why I am very active on my social media.
It will take some time to get big on the internet, but one thing I am certainly sure of is that I am on the right track. I will keep working hard and never give up.
