1. What is something not too many people know about you?
I studied Finance in school and had a career as a financial advisor for a long time before finally quitting to pursue photography full-time. That was 5 years ago and I haven't looked back since.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
Photography was my biggest hobby until I made it my career and it's still my biggest passion. Also playing the guitar and being in nature are therapy to me. Oh and cooking! I love to make my own sauerkraut and almond milk and all sorts of other healthy stuff. When I'm not on the road, you can find me in the kitchen. Also I'm half Greek and cook a lot of delicious Greek food.
3. What are your goals for the future?
I'd like to buy a house in LA... or maybe somewhere in the woods - or both! This year I made a shift into commercial lifestyle photography and I'd like to continue pursuing this. And I want to always be photographing music because it is a rare thing to be able to combine two passions. Traveling for work is also something I would like to continue doing.
4. What is your definition of success?
Success to me is about constantly learning and striving to improve and never giving up what you love. It's also about creating the life you want to live and being able to sustain that.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
I'm finally getting my garden going for the year - I think being able to grow your own food is one of the coolest things. I've also been working on an ongoing self portrait photo project where I use song lyrics as inspiration for images. I have included one of those portraits using the lyrics "My heart is looking at maps, it's scheming how to get back" by These United States. Work related, I'm diving deep into festival season having just photographed Coachella and heading to Stagecoach tomorrow.
