1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Something not too many people may know is that my life was almost drastically different than it is now. I played softball competitively as a pitcher my entire life and towards the end of my senior year in high school, I planned to play softball in college and study to be a firefighter. Last minute, I decided to follow my heart and my passion and dropped everything to attend MUD Makeup Designory instead and it was the best decision I have ever made!
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
My biggest passion is definitely makeup. Whether it's wedding makeup, prom makeup, photoshoots, etc. Being able to enhance the beauty someone already possesses so that they walk away feeling confident and beautiful is rewarding every single time. I also have a love for the beach and anything that involves it.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My goals are to definitely continue to allow myself to grow as an artist and as a person. Allowing my mind to never stop learning new techniques and taking advice in order to better my art and myself. I think a big goal for me would be to eventually become a personal makeup artist to some sort of talent, whether that was a lead singer for a band or an actress. Being able to travel and work as a makeup artist is a goal of mine that I hope someday I achieve! I absolutely love to travel and love what I do even more, so getting to do both is a dream!
4. What is your definition of success?
When I think of success, I don't have a specific limit on when I believe I will see myself as successful. I think I have felt success multiple times whether that be getting approached for new jobs, having my makeup published in magazines or even something as simple as someone texting me telling me how much they loved what I did for them and how confident they felt. I think continuing to feel excited and successful for what this job brings me and the experiences I get to go through are what makes this job not feel like a "job" but more of a privilege.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
I am continuing to work on photoshoots and trying to bring to life all of my ideas locked up in my head! I have some magazines that have just been released so I'm excited to get them and continue to strive towards working hard and building this career for myself!
