1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Before I started modeling, I actually went to art school! So I’m really interested in design, color theory, mark-making. I feel that modeling, an art form of its own, is another medium to which I can express my ideas. I also have a huge soft spot for the Fashion Industry, whether it’s the garment designs, editorials, magazine spreads, photography, ALL OF IT I adore!
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
Currently I’ve picked up photography as a constant side-job hustle. I’m always envisioning a whole photoshoot, and end up creative directing all of it. I’ve also found that I feel this pull towards capturing images of people of color as my models. First, because there is so much beauty and respect for minorities here in America! And second, there’s not enough representation of it. Underrated hidden talents, everywhere!
3. What are your goals for the future?
My goals are to always be learning. I never want to stop learning and being a student of the world. I want to travel the world and widen my horizons of cultural differences. I want to go to the mom & pop businesses, the farmer’s market, the loiters, where the sidewalks are crooked--- where the work ethic and the people are triably true.
My dream is also to continue research and earn a PhD. I don’t know what exactly or when in the future, but I have a feeling when the time comes… I’ll know it.
The sky's the limit.
4. What is your definition of success?
Currently my idea of success is wholesome independence and happiness, intertwined. I want to launch a career that is absolutely everything that I am on-game for. And a drive that’s not scared to push limits as I continue to grow as a human being, ergo a career in consistent evolution. And while at it, being able to say, “yeah, I did that.”
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
I’ve never really dealt with business, and never had prior experience/knowledge to it. But I’m learning through experience. Branding, marketing, legalities, management. I’m talking with a few superiors about it, and reaching out to the right people. It’s all a process, but I’m positive I’m gonna make it (whatever that looks like). I don’t really disclose my sketches, you’re just gonna have to keep up with me on the Grams ;)
