1. What is something not too many people know about you?
One thing not many people know is that my dream from childhood was to be a professional stunt car driver and performer. I was obsessed with Hot Wheels when I was little and then graduated from bicycle to 4-wheeler to a few speeding tickets. I'm really laid-back in person so people don't expect the adrenaline junkie under the surface. That dream was nixed when college came around and tragically, I live in NYC so I don't even own a car anymore!
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
Right now my biggest passion is modeling and photography. I love working with a team to create an image that can hopefully make someone stop scrolling for a second or two and feel something. Capturing moods and moments feels necessary when life is so ephemeral. I've been modeling since I lived in Alabama, but of course moving to NYC was a complete roller coaster. I would like to do more runway, which is exhilarating because of the audience element. I would love to try acting as well, because modeling is just like silent acting.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My goal is growth and change. I've been in the hustle since moving to NYC and I'm working to build a career out of my creative loves. My short term goals: model, grow my career in fashion and design, finish fixing up my apartment, perfect my Kong vault, and buy a motorcycle. My long-term goals: move somewhere warm, perhaps revisit stunt driving, travel to every continent and then adopt many many dogs and daughters. And of course, I've always imagined my final goal to be a kooky fabulous old woman walking my 4 Yorkies down 5th Ave every day.
4. What is your definition of success?
Success is much more of a feeling than any measurable thing I could attain. I already feel successful just because I have been able to get to a place where I have a lot freedom and autonomy in my life. Independence is the most important thing to me. I'm from a very small town in Alabama that most people don't ever leave, so getting to NYC was my driving force for so long. Just being here gives me that little boost of "whoa, I did it," even while I'm still struggling and hustling. Living in NYC is a mind game like that.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're currently working on.
Write now I am working with a content creation agency startup that is landing work with both large companies and local brands. We're excited about some of the partnerships and shoots in the pipeline! They've developed a specialty for hypebeast style and activewear. I will also be shooting the spring color line for a local lifestyle and wellness brand (Spring is coming!) Keep an eye out for these shoots to drop on my page. I'll be manifesting lots of creative moves and I'm excited to see what else this year brings!
