1. What is something not too many people know about you?
I’m an introvert at heart. Give me a good book and I’m a happy camper. These days I have really been into poetry. Poetry is a way other people express how they feel as a form of using the imagination. I'm not saying that I understand each and every poem that I read, at many times I need someone to explain. But this does not limit my love for it. I marvel at the expertise with which it carries its meaning. The funny thing about introverts is that they are not all quiet people. Once they feel comfortable with someone, they can be the most enjoyable people to be around. It’s like sharing a secret, but the secret is their personality.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
Some of my hobbies include running and yoga. There are not many sports that I am good at, but I do enjoy a good scenic jog or going to hot-yoga on a cold winter day. I believe that if you strive towards a healthier lifestyle, not only do you improve your diet, but also how you feel. But my favorite hobby by far is baking. I have such a sweet tooth. Cupcakes, cookies, macarons, candy, anything you can think of. If there’s sugar in it, I’ll eat it. I get so inspired all the time by ordering cute desserts when I go out to eat, that I’ll want to try my own take on it at home. Baking different types of desserts for friends and family is fun, but it’s even more enjoyable when they tell you to make it again for them sometime ☺ One of my greatest passions in life is helping others. When I was younger, I was taught to give back the fortunes you’ve been blessed with. I often volunteer at my local church hosting various events that help others in need. Giving back is as good for you as it is for those you are helping, because giving gives you purpose. When you have a purpose-driven life, you’re a happier person. While I’m only one person, a single person can help make a better difference in the world.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future are growing with a company where I can continue to learn, take on responsibilities and gain additional experience, while contributing as much value as I can. Developing new skills would help my continuing involvement in related social work and professional associations. I have worked in healthcare for as long as I can remember, and I feel as if this is one of my life’s callings. I know this is a very common path for many people, but this is just one of the many things I want to accomplish in life. On the other hand, another small goal of mine is to start my own blog. I have always loved fashion and the idea of sharing your notes and ideas with others across the world. Hopefully this year I have the courage to begin!
4. What is your definition of success?
My definition of success is creating your own definition and living it. Success is never giving up your dream. Success is becoming a better person today than you were yesterday. Success is leaving the world a little bit better through the positive impact you have on the lives of others by doing the things in life that you love. You know what they say, the only time you should ever look back is to see how far you’ve come.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're currently working on.
There’s not many projects that I’m working on right now, but I have been blessed to meet many talented creatives last year and this year. I’m planning to collaborate and create more content in the upcoming months. Content is not the end goal, but an addition to new connections and great friendships.
