1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Most people don't know that I have a 5 year old daughter. Most also don't know that I have actually had two separate manic episodes, one of which hospitalized me, and both have dramatically awakened my awareness to my mental sensitivities. I experienced a lot of euphoria and creative urges during these episodes and have grown to know myself and my triggers a lot better because of them. I think there is a huge lack of individuals that share their experiences because of certain stigmas, however I believe sharing your own battles could potentially help someone else out!
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
I have this LED hula hoop that I play with in my free time and I am all about going on adventures in nature. I make it a point to go to several concerts each year, travel, and do arts and crafts. I also grew up taking dance classes my whole life and that has stuck with me throughout my adult years.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My main goals for my future are to create at least one film and to make a lasting impact of some sort that will better our earth and the generations afterward. Photography will always be a part of who I am but I also want my art to evolve into filmmaking and I am also determined to inspire people to get back into scrapbooking and watching their old home videos. I think it is incredibly humbling to remind yourself of where you come from in life and to submerse yourself in the nostalgia of your younger years. I love seeing adults that live life with their inner childhood spirit still wildly alive.
4. What is your definition of success?
To me, pursuing a variety of experiences and passions in a multipotentialite sense is my personal definition of success. I'd much rather be able to dabble in a little bit of everything vs. becoming an expert at just one thing. My curiosities are all over the place and I absolutely have to be 100% excited in whatever I do. I think everyone has a different version of success but I ultimately want my soul to be on fire with enthusiasm in the pursuits I choose, and I wholeheartedly believe that you should never settle in life, and follow your heart with everything you have. Resist the urge to conform if it isn't you!
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
The main project I am working on currently is mixing printed photographs with some sort of typewriter art to add to the background of a photograph. Photographs alone tell a story, but I think it would be neat to reveal a fun fact about the models I work with that any given stranger wouldn't know about them otherwise.
