1. What is something not too many people know about you?
I’ve managed to keep my life outside of modeling fairly private, but this might be a good time to touch on it. I dropped out of college at 18 to pursue a career in product design, it was without a doubt one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever done in my life. A lot of my friends, family, and colleagues told me it was a huge mistake, but my gut told me it would be worthwhile. I worked my way up at a few start ups & design agencies, and eventually relocated to New York City to work for a notable start up. Fast forward to now, I’m a product designer at Lifted Logic In Kansas City.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
Well the two most obvious ones would be design or modeling, they take up a majority of my time. Outside of that, I’m a pretty active person so I love running, biking, weight lifting, anything I can do to break a sweat.
3. What are your goals for the future?
Man, that’s a loaded question. This industry is extremely fluid. I generally follow the philosophy that when you create products that genuinely bring value to peoples’ lives, the right opportunities show themselves. I’m really enjoying my current role at Lifted Logic, it has such a unique studio culture. Aside from that, Never stop learning, diving into something now and again that’s completely out of my comfort zone, and continually auditing myself not just as a designer but as a human being. Kindness goes a long ways. I wouldn’t mind traveling a bit, sometimes I need a break from the scene!
4. What is your definition of success?
Success is the daily fulfillment in your life, career, and self. People don’t often talk about how hard it truly is to genuinely follow your gut & do what you believe in. It takes a lot of patience, hard work, and grit but it’s well worth it. Keep striving to do better, love others, and most importantly love yourself.
5. Tell us something about the projects you’re working on.
On the design side, most of my projects right now are protected by non-disclosure agreements, but I will say we'll be launching a lot of rad products this year. In terms of modeling, we’re pushing out work more than ever and enjoying it as we go. I couldn’t do this without my talented friends (Malachi Worley, Emily Meier, Molly Hoffman, Drue Schnelle, just to name a few), much love to them.
