1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Something about me that always tends to surprise everyone is that I am a senior in high school. I’ve been enrolled in online school since my sophomore year, and I absolutely love it! Going to high school in a less traditional way has allowed me the privilege of being able to travel and work at my own pace, which has sparked a tremendous amount of growth in myself as an artist. Having the ability to, at such a young age, be exposed to so many different things, places, and people has influenced my creativity, style, and goals heavily. The creative aspect of shoots is actually my favorite part about modeling (I style and direct 90% of my shoots!). Another thing people don’t know about me is my nationality. A lot of people have tried to guess and I usually get everything but what I am which is Dutch/Indonesian. I am trying to learn how to speak Dutch, as of now I can speak a little!
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
In addition to the passions that those who follow me see, two things I am extremely passionate about are fashion and music. As Gwen Stefani once said: “Fashion is an extension of your personality.” This to me couldn’t be more accurate; through fashion and making my own clothes, I have the ability to express who I am as a person and how I’m feeling on a daily basis. My style is ever-changing and pulls from a multitude of inspirations. Through it I am able to channel each of my (50? Who knows) personas. I’ve maintained a style that is both extensive and enigmatic. A new hobby I have been experimenting with is music production (specifically instrumentals). Music is what feelings sound like and has always been a huge part of my life. When it comes to hobbies I have quite a few that keep me busy, whether its board sports (I grew up surfing, skating, and snowboarding), belly dancing (I was on the belly dancing team and Polynesian dance team when I did go to high school), or being a roller-skating pro (embarrassing enough I used to be on a speed team, but we won’t talk about that).
3. What are your goals for the future?
My number one goal is to continue to become the best version of myself. With each day we are all constantly evolving into something bigger and better. Embracing the process of growing and enjoying my own unique transformation is golden to me. Two other important goals for the future is to travel and create in any way possible, and of course helping others to do the same. I think it is very important to take advantage of the platform I create for myself and spread any good energy I can.
4. What is your definition of success?
Success to me is continuously stunting on my past self. Being able to feel content with knowing I could die at any moment and be satisfied with my accomplishments would be enough for me. But then again, Icons Never Die.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
I just got back from a trip to New York that helped opened my eyes as to who I am as an artist and how I want to brand myself, these realizations brought me to a project of mine called “Rubix Kube”. I can’t say much more except that it’s going to be very colorful! Keep an eye out Summer 19’. Other than that I am always shooting and adding to my portfolio. My shoots from here on out are going to involve being comfortable with vulnerability and expressing myself through colors. More to come! xx
