1. What is something not too many people know about you?
I grew up in a very musical family. My parents are both successful musicians that play music around the Kansas City, Missouri area. I started playing the piano at the age of 7 and still continue to play, sometimes even with my parents at their gigs whenever I’m home from school.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
I LOVE photography! That is definitely one of my biggest passions. I mostly photograph high school senior girls and it brings me so much joy! I love making young girls feel like super models for the 2 hours that they’re with me. I believe that each person is beautiful in their own way and for me to be able to bring out pure confidence and spunk in young women is why I love what I do!
3. What are your goals for the future?
Honestly, to just keep doing what I’m doing. I want to keep furthering my knowledge in natural light photography and to also meet more wonderful people in the years to come!
4. What is your definition of success?
I think that success is not measured by your net worth or the number of followers you have. But, by the joy that your choices and direction have led you, and the gratification of where you are today and where you’ll be tomorrow.
5. Tell us something about the projects you’re working on.
Just recently I did my first little studio session. I have been a natural light photographer for 6 years and know nothing about studio work. After meeting up with a photographer in the Springfield, Missouri area, he gave me a few pointers and then let me direct and shoot with his model that he was working with that day. It was a blast and I’m definitely looking forward to learning more about studio lighting and fashion photography.
