1. What is something not too many people know about you?
I am a relatively open person, yet one fact I don't share too often is that I come from an 88 person village in the hillside of Romania. Most people I meet professionally are frequently surprised that I moved from such a small community to the immense space of New York City.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
Since freshmen year in college, I've been heavily interested in visual storytelling, primarily through movies and photographs. That interest slowly expanded to what is now a full-time job in the media sphere as a videographer, photographer, and creative director. Ah, but we can't forget soccer - it's true that I don't watch it as often as I should, but I absolutely adore playing it. Sometimes too much where anger and frustrated enter the happiness equation.
3. What are your goals for the future?
As I am still in my growing phase, I personally like taking each day at a time trying to be better than the previous. Possibly ideally, I would like to be Chief Marketing Officer or Creative Director on either, an influential product in tech like Apple, Samsung, or an ad agency promoting tech, or an Art Director for feature films.
4. What is your definition of success?
Success comes in small batches - you need to recognize those small batches to truly find your value behind your work. Many people focus on the bigger dream rather than the small goals and tasks at hand that they misunderstand their pathway to their definition of success. The metric for my success is influence and actionable change - if either of those is achieved during my projects, I have succeeded. Keep in mind that full success will never be achieved - you strive for it every day till your last breath.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
I think a cool project that I am working on that everyone should know more about is Transfernation. It is an NPO based in New York City that has created an app where anyone can deliver left-over food from events in the city to local shelters around Manhattan. It's a quick way for those who pick up to make some extra cash but also place an immediate helping hand in the social impact sphere. I am at the moment creating a digital marketing campaign to promote and bring more awareness to the app's new functional updates!
