1. What is something not too many people know about you?
One thing not many people know about me is I’m a professionally trained cook. I love to cook for my friends and family. Cooking is something that is a huge stress reliever for me. I just love going over to the kitchen and making something that not only will take my stress away, but eat some delicious food as well. No matter the day, time, or place, it’s always a good time to cook. If you are sad or happy, if it's a gloomy or sunny day, or whatever, there is no bad time to cook. Cooking has always made me very happy.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
The two things I can think of when it comes to my passions are music and photography. I’m a musician and I play the drums (have been doing so for the past 11 years). I make sure I don’t skip my practice even if it’s playing for just an hour. Just like cooking, drumming to me is a stress buster. When I’m drumming I forget about everything and it just takes me into a whole new world.
Photography is something I wanted to do for a long time. You get to meet new people from different diversities and cultures, and there’s so much positivity and inspiration. The reason I got into doing portraits is because it allows me to express myself, my style. I love the artistic freedom that it gives me because I love to tell a story, capture that moment in time, capture that moment/emotion of that person’s life. Photographs have a significant impact throughout our lives. I love teaching others how to use their camera, and get more out of it, learning new things about photography. It’s a journey that travels with you. Apart from photography and music I love traveling, exploring.
3. What are your goals for the future?
Right now, I’m in school, and I will be graduating in Fall 2018. I would like to establish my own photography business. I’d also love to do some commercial photography for clothing brands. No matter what you do, you need to be happy and love what you’re doing. There is no bigger goal than that.
4. What is your definition of success?
Success to me is not earning six figures, or buying a luxury car. In my perspective you are successful when you have had a positive impact on other people’s lives, by inspiring and helping them. Succeeding is accomplishing your dreams. No matter how slowly you are moving towards that, to some degree you are succeeding everyday.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
Right now, I’m not working on any projects but I’m doing a couple of photoshoots in New York City in the weeks to come. I’m hosting a photo meet-up on March 24th, 2018 at Central Park.
