1. What is something not too many people know about you?
A lot of people don’t know that I’m half-Portuguese! My dad was born in Portugal and came to the United States in his early-twenties. He met my mom while they were both working on a cruise ship, so it was like reverse-Titanic…minus the ship sinking, of course.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
Art has been something I have been passionate about for so long. I remember most of my childhood was spending afternoons drawing by myself in my room or scootering around the suburbs of Florida while taking photos of anything on my cheap, plastic digital 1.2-megapixel camera. Currently, photography is taking up most of my time and creative energy, which I’m not complaining about at all.
3. What are your goals for the future?
I feel like my goals change every second. I am very much a go-wherever-the-wind-takes-your kind of a person. As long as I’m able to have creative liberty and stimulation in whatever I’m doing, I will be pleased.
4. What is your definition of success?
I hope this doesn’t sound corny, but success is continuing to persevere by taking your failures and growing from them. Success is so subjective since there is always room for improvement and growth. As long as you aren’t remaining stagnant in terms of personal growth, I would say you are being successful.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're working on.
There aren’t any specific projects that I’m working on. I guess photographing more concerts, doing more portraits, improving the vision, and just bettering myself are some things in the works. Finishing school is definitely a top priority. I am very much an optimist at heart, so I am thrilled for future opportunities and experiences that the universe will present me.
