1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Most people do not know that I wanted to be a psychologist when I was younger. I find the human mind fascinating. I like to study people’s behaviors and think about what they think about. I think that is why I got into street photography. The random moments that are captured out in the street is the best feeling in the world. It’s definitely a big reason why I love photography so much. People’s random movements and the reason they make those movements or reactions, make for the perfect blend of photography and psychology.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
My biggest passion at this point in life, is photography. I love creating something fresh and new. I love seeing people’s reaction to what I’ve captured and hearing their interpretation of a photograph. Photography is something I have grown to love and take more seriously through time.
I love seeing a photo or a concept that inspires me to create something completely new. It excites me and makes my mind go places.
A hobby that I’ve loved since I was a little kid is basketball. Basketball is something that Ive played since I was a kid and I will continue to until my body doesn’t allow me to.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My goal for the future is to hopefully work for a brand or agency long term. I would love to build my portfolio in a way that I could get jobs in multiple fields whether it’s a clothing brand or working with a fashion agency. I would love to have that wide range of work under my belt to broaden my reach and clientele. I would love to shoot for Jordan brand or be an artist photographer. If I was able to do a photoshoot with one of my favorite artists such as J. Cole, I would be extremely happy.
4. What is your definition of success?
My definition of success would be to be able to live off of my passion and have fun doing so. You can make money from almost anything, but I wouldn’t want to just be making money and hating my job. I would love to do something that I can enjoy as well as make a good living from. At least enough to help my family and parents the way they have helped me. Success would be when I am able live comfortably and have a portfolio diverse enough to get any photography job opportunity I want.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're currently working on.
I am currently working on building my portfolio to be more suited for brand and/or agency hire. I have been in contact with a few photographers in order to gain more knowledge in the field and get insights on what I need to do to succeed. I have been in contact with some agencies in hopes of getting hired.
I’ve been working on increasing my knowledge on editing to make my pictures much more suitable for editorials and prints.
I’ve also been working on a vlog of my trip to Europe.
