1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Despite how it comes across in my modeling projects & photos, I’m not as confident as it seems. I’m still teaching myself self-love. I have an incredible amount of flaws (or things I consider my flaws) & I’m still trying to see past them like others do when they look at me. I’ve had correctional jaw surgery, I’ve struggled with acne my whole life as it is finally going away. I struggle to gain weight, & like most people, there are things about my face that I don’t like. Despite all of this, modeling has helped me gain an incredible amount of confidence. While it’s still sometimes difficult for me to accept compliments without putting myself down first, I am learning. Some people might look at me & laugh at the fact that I beat myself up over something others may not see, but a lot of us struggle with our image. I have to give a huge thank you out to my friends, family, & even strangers on the street for all the support & compliments & love they give. Without the people around me, I don’t think I would’ve ever convinced myself that I am capable of loving myself, & getting into my life-long dream of becoming a model.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
As I mentioned above, modeling is my hobby. The best part is my boyfriend is a fashion photographer, so he has made living out my dream so much more possible for me. While it’s not my plan to make a career out of it, it’s the thing that brings me the most amount of joy. It’s something I’m proud of myself for getting into. It also pays my bills at times & who wouldn’t want to get paid for doing something they love!? There’s absolutely nothing that I exceed in regarding sports, or art, or dance. I’m happy to have finally found MY thing. It took me at least half a year to get the hang of it & I still learn more every day. I'm truly grateful to have found my passion.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My goal right now is to find something I want to study for certain. I’m 21 & about to start my 3rd year of college in business. Wherever life takes me I just want to be successful. I surround myself with people who want to grow like I do. I’m surrounded by smart, talented, creative, & grounded individuals & I truly believe this will help me prosper in whatever life has in store for me. No matter what you’re doing or where you’re going, you should always make sure to associate yourself with people who want to help you grow. The ultimate goal is to make a living that allows for stability, comfort, & travel to all the places I’ve ever dreamed of. I will manifest it.
4. What is your definition of success?
Success is what you make it. To one person, success might be being at the top of the top. To me, it’s reaching my goals whatever they may be. It doesn’t have to be the best of the best, it just has to be what I think I’m capable of accomplishing. I always strive to do & be better than I think I can be so that I push myself twice as hard. Even when I don’t reach my goal, I never consider myself as failing. Only growing, learning, & bettering myself in order to be prepared for the next line of success!
5. Tell us something about the projects you're currently working on.
My focus right now is New York Fashion Week. I’ve been attending casting after casting in the hopes of being selected to walk for a designer. This has been my dream for as long as I can remember & if I don’t get casted this season, I know I’ll get the next! Aside from that, I’m also working on updating my modeling portfolio in the hopes of signing with an agency in New York by this summer. I have lots of things in store this year & I couldn’t be more excited.
