1. What is something not too many people know about you?
From my Instagram people think my name is Taylor Oh, but my full name is Taylor Okimoto. I was born and raised in Hawaii. I am part Japanese and believe it or not, I’m actually part Hawaiian as well. Currently, I am an assistant bookkeeper at a real estate agency in Hawaii and am in the process of obtaining my real estate license. However, if I didn’t need to worry about finances, I would want to create my own YouTube channel!
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
My biggest passions in life are to create and inspire others through my style and experiences. I’ve recently started getting into streetwear culture wearing brands such as Bape and Supreme and through this I want to be able to channel my ideas on wearing these brands, but adding a feminine twist, like putting on an oversized Bape or Supreme shirt and adding high knee boots. Although streetwear culture is typically gauged more towards men, I really hope that I can help inspire more women to embrace the “hypebeast” look.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future are to create opportunities where I am able to share and inspire those around me as a video creator. A lifetime goal is to be financially stable and to be able to just enjoy each day to its fullest.
4. What is your definition of success?
My definition of success is waking up everyday doing the things I love without thinking that it’s “just a job” and being my own boss in life.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're currently working on.
Currently I'm working on creating a YouTube channel that revolves around how I would style myself primarily focusing on the Hypebeast culture. Since I live in Hawaii, we don’t have access to a lot of the mainstream streetwear brands so it’s definitely a challenge, but I think that’s what makes it exciting! Hopefully if this channel grows it will turn into a lifestyle channel, where others will be able to see the life I live in Hawaii and what the islands have to offer. I noticed that there are many LA vloggers and bloggers, but you rarely see anything about Hawaii, and I want to change that!
