1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Not too many people know that I was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico and English isn’t my first language. My parents are college sweethearts and in order to move to the states, my father joined the US Army. As I child, I lived on the military base in Savannah, GA and my mother was adamant that we learn to speak English correctly while also practicing Spanish exclusively at home. It was her greatest gift to try to preserve my culture while encouraging us to read and write in both languages. Even though I consider myself a Floridian, having grown up in Orlando since I was 10 years old, I can speak Spanish fluently and hold my Puerto Rican heritage very close to my heart.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
My biggest passion is definitely connecting with people of different walks of life through my art. I have been creating content for 3 years now and am so grateful for each and every person that’s molded me in the process. I find that creative expression is one of the most invaluable human experiences. I am completely self taught, having never pursued a formal education, so each and every opportunity has served as a learning experience for me.
3. What are your goals for the future?
I intend to leave as much behind as I can before I expire. One of my short term goals for 2018 is to relocate to New York City to pursue a career in Modeling and Creative Direction. It is my hope to continue to find success as a freelance artist and sustain my lifestyle through independent work.
4. What is your definition of success?
I suppose I don’t define success monetarily. Sure, making a lot of money would be really f-cking nice. However, success is only measured by upholding the core values you set for yourself. If I can walk through life with integrity and a positive attitude, while also nurturing my professional and personal relationships, I consider myself successful.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're currently working on.
I’m thrilled to say I’ve recently partnered with NakaGroup, a marketing and events firm based in FL, and hosted my very first fashion gala, “Ascension, A Fashion Experience”. We featured local Designers, Models and Performers in Central Florida in order to bring opportunities in fashion and entertainment to this market, where I found these opportunities to be few and far between. We are currently looking to expand to Miami for future events and hope to feature new, exciting, undiscovered designers, while also setting a standard within the industry.
