1. What is something not too many people know about you?
I think one thing not a lot of people know about me is how obsessed I am with the slasher craze of the 1980’s and early 90’s. The slasher genre is where I take a lot of inspiration, sonically. John Carpenter is a huge inspiration in the synth patches I use. And Halloween, 1978, is my favorite film of all time.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
My biggest passion is music and integrating fashion and film into my art form. I originally wanted to pursue film, but music always found its way into my life. When it comes to visuals, I’m extremely hands on. And, although the projects are a collaborative effort, the majority of the visuals are my conception. There’s something so fulfilling in music videos.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future are to keep growing and to stay inspired. I need to be inspired. I feel hollow when I’m not. I feel stagnant.
4. What is your definition of success?
I feel the definition to success can’t be defined because it varies for each individual. But if I could sum it up, I would definitely say finding happiness in the things you do will help you get there. It’s something everyone strives for.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're currently working on.
I have a lot in store for this year. I generally burrow myself away and work on an E.P. That’s what I did for the last three years of music. But now, I’m working on individualized projects. They’re singles that I feel have a lot of potential and honesty. Specifically, “Blind”. I’m excited to put that track out. It’s an extremely vulnerable side of me. And I want to perform. I had my first show ever in October of last year and it felt like an initiation. There’s a lot of confidence you have to uphold behind a mic and I feel that confidence is growing inside of me day by day.
