1. What is something not too many people know about you?
I was hated in school by girls who thought I was “the best of the best”. Keep in mind that I’m kind hearted (just like my mom), but people thought I was nothing but a pretty face. Little did they know that I was a pretty face with the right head head on my shoulders. I never fought back EVER. I figured “what’s the point”. I walked around school with what felt like a tail in between my legs because I knew for a fact that rumors, lies, and judgement were going around school about me, which sucked because to this day I only have about 4 friends that know me better than I know myself. I never took the time to explain myself to people because I didn’t think it was worth opening up to strangers. Even on the days where i felt like giving up on everything, I still kept to myself. Only very few people know my story and I like it like that.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
I’ve always loved standing up for people when they were too afraid to speak up for themselves. You don’t have to specifically know anyone to stand up for them. Be brave, be bold!
3. What are your goals for the future?
I hope and I pray that I become an RN by the time I turn 21 (I’m 19 now). I want to have my nursing license, so I hope to earn my bachelors in nursing. I aspire to be a labor and delivery nurse and to work with teen moms. Why teen moms? My mom was a teen mom and she told me about her struggles, so I feel like I have a connection with teen moms.
4. What is your definition of success?
Success can simply be getting rid of a phobia, believing in yourself, and of course reaching higher than the stars! Always remember you’re one step closer than you were yesterday!
5. Tell us something about the projects you’re currently working on.
One project that I’m working on is encouraging others to have confidence in themselves and also, to make petite models a bigger thing. I am very short and I hope to see someone with the height of 4’11 on the Victoria Secret show one day, or someone of that height walking down a runway for New York’s fashion week!
