1. What is something not too many people know about you?
Something that not a lot of people know about me is that when I have free time, I like to volunteer at my local animal shelter. It brings so much happiness into my life since school and work take up so much of my life. It’s so important to give back in any way you can.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
My biggest passions and hobbies include styling, modeling, sketching, listening to music, and just being as creative as possible. Any creative outlet I can use, I’d like to practice. Pottery and watercolor paintings are next on my list. I like to thrift because it’s a lot harder than shopping. It takes unique style plus you get great finds for close to nothing. I also like to reinvent clothes I’ve had for years. It usually involves cutting up jeans and shirts or bleaching some older items! It gives me a way to be creative on a budget.
3. What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the near future are to successfully complete this internship I have with 7 Stitches Lifestyle boutique in Lafayette, Louisiana. I also plan to graduate college in May from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. I plan to move to Atlanta, Georgia later this year and secure an entry level position with a brand I can see myself growing with. I would also like to start my own brand that includes a lot of different endeavors I’ve been exploring. We would be here all day if I went on about all the long-term goals I have.
4. What is your definition of success?
My definition of success would be someone having accomplished many goals they’ve set for themselves. Success for you may not necessarily mean success for someone else. In order to be successful, I believe one has to be reasonably happy with what they’ve accomplished, but not comfortable with where they are. They continue to look for new ways to be innovative and challenge themselves within their craft.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're currently working on.
Unfortunately I don’t have the time to work on as many projects as I’d like, but I am going to be helping 7stitches release their first-ever line for female clothing. I’m also looking into doing a spring look book, along with coming out with a line of my own. I would also like to create a blog and a YouTube channel that will be released at the end of the year.
