1. What is something not too many people know about you?
You could say I’m a pretty introverted person, so there’s probably a lot of things that people don’t know about me. I like really long car rides by myself. I love all things supernatural and paranormal, and sometimes stay up a little too late reading conspiracy theories and personal encounter stories on Reddit. If possible, I like to find a nice coffee shop in every city I visit. I have somehow managed to be a vegan in Louisiana for two years. My favorite scent is vanilla anything.
2. What are your biggest passions or hobbies?
My biggest passion is photography, and has been since I was about 13. I remember even before I really started shooting I would look through fashion magazines, tear out images I liked, and stuff them in an “inspiration folder”. Photography is something that is always on my mind. It doesn’t matter where I’m at, or what I’m doing - in the back of my mind I’m probably thinking about how I could put together a shoot with the things i’m surrounded by. Photography has always been my passion and my hobby, and now I’m lucky enough to say that it’s my job!
3. What are your goals for the future?
I have a few goals for 2018. Most involve building my portfolio to have more creative fashion work. This past year I focused a lot on faces and portraits, so I’m wanting to change that up and get out of my comfort zone a little more. I also want to collaborate with as many people as I can. Makeup artists, models, fashion designers, you name it. I want to be able to meet and work with people who are just as passionate about their craft as I am about mine. That’s how you make the real magic!
4. What is your definition of success?
My definition of success is happiness. If you can wake up every morning and be excited about your day, your job, and have people that you love around you - that is true success, and I feel like thats where I am right now. I find success in little things every day. When I receive an email from someone who wants to hire me, or when a client tells me how much they love the work I’ve done for them, I get this amazing feeling. Knowing that I can make someone happy by giving them something I’ve put thought and time and care into makes it that much more rewarding.
5. Tell us something about the projects you're currently working on.
I’m currently planning a photo series that I’ve been wanting to execute for about two years. I’m writing down ideas and concepts and trying to get together a team of people who I can help bring it to life! I’m also trying to do a few small shoots a month to keep the creative juices flowing and stay inspired!
