1. How did you become a Couch Girl of the Week?
Couch Bros slid in my DMs and asked me if I was interested!
2. Tell us something weird about yourself.
I have really nasty elbows that can hyper-extend… it totally looks like my humorous popped out of the socket but its absolutely painless for me. I love to freak people out with it!
3. What was the last picture you took with your phone?
It’s a screenshot of a happy baby frog in a bath! That should tell you a lot about me…
4. What’s the last thing that made you laugh so hard tears came out your eyes?
One of my best friends is insanely good at "death-dropping" ... which is a popular move in drag culture where essentially you drop to the ground flat on your back in a very controlled and graceful manner. He’ll do it out of absolutely nowhere and it kills me every time.
5. What’s your favorite tv show?
I’ve always been a sucker for the British tv show “Skins”. It’s so funny, yet so emotional & you can't help but get so involved with the characters. It's a wonderful depiction of adolescent life.
6. If your life was a tv show what would it be called?
The Painting Hour. It would be a talk show where my guest & I paint something together while we talk about cool things like meteors or heartbreak or dead musicians. It would be like Ellen but no one would watch it.
7. Who is someone you would love to be stuck in an elevator with?
Mac Miller. Not only because I’d take the opportunity to kiss his face, but he's also just such a fun guy. I feel like he'd keep me so entertained that I’d forget I was stuck in an elevator. He's just this super high-energy, intellectual, musical genius, it would be such a privilege to have a conversation with him. I think we’d vibe super well.
8. Do you have any projects you are working on?
I have way too many, I love to overwhelm myself. I’m currently working on building 2 installation pieces for a gallery, I’m painting a couple commissions for the holidays, and there’s something big (possibly a book of some sort, wink wink) that I hope to release sometime in 2017!
9. What do you want the most for Christmas?
In general, I just want everyone in the world to relax for a bit. I think 2016 has been an overwhelming year for everyone & I hope that the holidays will give everybody a chance to sit down and take a breather. I hope that the tension on earth simmers a bit. But I mean, gift-wise, art supplies never hurt!
10. Where can people find you on Social Media?
You can find me on Instagram (@sarahminacs), on YouTube (Sarah Minacs) & my website! (sarahminacs.bigcartel.com)
